The only significant difference is the variety of apps in the app store of iOS and Windows Store. There should be no problem finding alternatives but the two apps I really miss on the iPad are Paper by FiftyThree and Procreate. If you look strokes from Mischief from above, you’ll see that when I release the pressure, the lines tend to be a bit more jittery. On/off button placement: one of the most frustrating things about the year that I spent trying to make a Surface Pro my primary drawing tablet was the placement of that device’s physical on-off button (placement is unchanged from the surface Pro 4 to the Surface Pro 6) in the course of holding the tablet to draw, or turning it on the table, it is easy to bump the on/off/sleep button, which is very sensitive. An accidental graze requires the tablet be turned back on, reoriented to face for unlock, etc. The iPad Pro, with a lower profile button on the top, is more resistant to accidentally triggering a sleep setting, making it easier to focus on art and continue creating uninterrupted. - Source: Internet

Flatten it down and pull out the Surface Pen and you’re ready for sketching, drawing or painting. The Pen attaches to the side of the Surface magnetically, but as with the iPad Pro it falls off easily in your bag or even when carrying the tablet to meetings unless you keep a firm hold on the pen as well as the tablet – and I generally found myself putting the Pen in my jacket or a separate pocket in my bag when travelling anywhere. For some reason, the Adobe Creative Cloud app uses too much RAM and processing power and always causes the fans to spin, and drains battery fast. So don’t have Adobe Creative Cloud launch at login, and (it’s a hassle) always quit that app when you’re not using it. In terms of tablet hardware, although the iPad Pro is lighter, a bit smaller, and because of those, easier to maneuver, when it comes to the tablet itself, I prefer drawing on the Surface Pro 4. Why? I realized how much I have come to appreciate the hinge on the back of the Surface Pro.
